Estimates from any time series analysis almost always have the highest uncertainty in the most recent time period (Durbin and Koopman 2012). This is because there are few or no data after observations in the most recent period. The hope is that the uncertainty estimates reflect this lack of information but that the later updated values with more information are not consistently higher or lower than the original estimate.
