I manage the library and information center of The Christian Science Monitor. As a librarian and a journalist, I'm working on where these areas intersect, inside and outside our company.
Daily research topics are global issues in business, industry and society. I work with a variety of databases, Internet, and media resources on deadline assignments as well as longer-term projects published on CSMonitor.com and in a weekly magazine. I'm also the digital asset management system administrator. Our library trains our staff and interns on online reference tools, and builds web pages and resources for the editorial staff.
My research-centric career has been digital. I've worked on data journalism and other longterm reporting projects, and apply these skills to the MONITOR's digital-first multiplatform publishing model.
I'm also a co-founder of and contributor to HighTechHistory.com, a web site for the history of computing and digital pioneers.
