Practical Applications This study provides actionable insights for pipeline asset managers, policymakers, and engineers by integrating spatial and survival analyses to guide data-driven maintenance planning. The proposed framework enables identification of high-risk pipeline segments based on failure history, location, and physical characteristics, supporting targeted maintenance instead of uniform inspection schedules.

Practical Applications This study presents a spatial analysis framework that utilizes historical failure data and GIS-based techniques to identify high-risk zones in natural gas pipeline networks. Municipalities, city engineers, and utility operators can use this method to prioritize pipeline segments for inspection, maintenance, or upgrades by pinpointing clusters of recurring failures.
