I prefer to be pitching through social media (DMs are best). However, texts are also a great way to go!

Why did you become a journalist?
I started writing for my college newspaper at the beginning of my freshman year, and I've been writing ever since.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not. I started in college almost entirely by accident.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The next one!
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
No matter what you write about, you will receive objections and hate. Learn to deal with backlash, and don't look at the comment section.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime is the best time for me, but ideally in the late afternoon when my daily routine comes to a close.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
The best pitch I got was to write about my opinion on the incoming interim president of my college at the time, who was a controversial hire.
What's your favorite drink?
Sparkling water, no ice.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Either at the gym, in class, or at a baseball game.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
A common misperception about my beat is about the topic of Zionism itself. Zionism means Jewish self-determination in Israel -- nothing more.
