By the FOX23.com News Staff BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — The Broken Arrow Police Department is preparing to send its mounted patrol unit down the turnpike to help with the upcoming portion of the 2028 Olympics games that will take place in Oklahoma City. BAPD is just one of a few departments in the state that has officers doing their duty on horseback.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Police didn’t have to look far, to find a suspect in a robbery that happened around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Charlie’s Chicken on 33rd West Avenue. They say 27-year-old Caleb Collins was spotted going into his parents house just a block away.

Tulsa police responded to a shoplifting incident that escalated into a robbery after a suspect allegedly threatened a store clerk. Police were called to the a Dollar Tree near 3rd and Lewis shortly before 10 p.m. last Friday, after a store clerk said he saw a woman take two boxes of candy worth $30 each from the store. Officers say the suspect, identified as 60-year-old Venus Brown, claimed to have a gun before fleeing the scene in a grey Chrysler minivan.
