Aespeniđa (which can also be written as Aspenitha) are an acoustic duo performing experimental Nordic Folk. Barry Nisbet (Shetland - vocals, fiddle & guitar) & Miriam Iorwerth (Argyll - marimba and percussion) write and arrange instrumental and vocal music, bringing together Traditional and Classical styles. Their inspiration is drawn from the fringes of geography, music, human experience & language – Barry’s native Shaetlan, the lost Shetland Norn & accented English.

Their beautifully crafted original songs and harmonies are delivered beautifully from the stage.
