Tenants of the federally-subsidized Greystone Apartments off Missouri Avenue say they have been living with leaks, mold, inadequate air conditioning and other issues — in some cases for years.

St. Clair County buying Belleville restaurant near Belle-Clair Fairgrounds

St. Clair County’s Public Building Commission voted to purchase these two parcels with yellow markers bordering the Belle-Clair Fairgrounds. The parcels include a former restaurant space and adjoining vacant land. The board that manages St. Clair County properties recently voted to purchase the former Uncle Nick’s Deli near the Belle-Clair Fairgrounds. The Public Building Commission voted June 18 to buy the restaurant at 1140 S. Illinois St. and the adjoining vacant land at 1150 S.
