(NewsNation) – There is optimism on Wall Street that the U.S. and Iran may be moving close to a deal that could allow oil shipments to flow freely through the Strait of Hormuz again. The price of Brent crude sank more than 7% on Wednesday. But even as oil dropped, gas prices are still trending higher. With just a few weeks to go until Memorial Day and peak summer driving season, the national average stands at $4.56 a gallon, up over 30 cents from a week ago.
