The 19th series of Britain’s Got Talent culminated on Saturday night with a victory for the Hawkstone Farmers Choir, an ensemble put together by Jeremy Clarkson to help those living near his Oxfordshire farm with their mental health. Simon Cowell, still going as a judge all these years later and never afraid to make himself the centre of attention, hailed the choir’s performance as “absolutely stunning, heartfelt, joyous”.
