Libby A. Nelson’s Biography
I've covered federal policy, Congress and religious colleges for Inside Higher Ed since April 2011. Before that, I was a reporter at The Times-Tribune in Scranton, Pa., where I covered the regional airport, several towns and a handful of school districts.
As befits a 2009 graduate, I started as an intern-for-life, notably at the Chronicle of Higher Education (covering federal policy for nine months in 2009-10) and the New York Times (Metro desk, summer 2009). Other stops include the Star Tribune and the St. Petersburg Times.
I grew up in the suburbs of Kansas City, Mo. (Kansas side!), and graduated from Northwestern in 2009 with a degree in journalism. I speak fluent conversational French. My superpower is losing things.
