Superconducting 2D cuprate with a single CuO 2 plane
Abstract Atomically thin van der Waals crystals epitomize ideal material systems in the two-dimensional (2D) limit. This reduction in dimensionality often leads to important consequences, best exemplified by the emergence of new physics in graphene and other 2D materials that can be readily tuned by gating1,2. Vast opportunities arise in extending this top-down approach to other material systems.
Relativistic Mott transition in twisted WSe2 tetralayers - Nature Materials
|
Abstract The realization of graphene has provided a bench-top laboratory for quantum electrodynamics. The low-energy excitations of graphene are two-dimensional massless Dirac fermions with opposite chiralities at the ±K valleys of the graphene Brillouin zone. It has been speculated that the electron–electron interactions in graphene could spontaneously break the chiral symmetry to induce a finite mass for Dirac fermions, which is also known as the relativistic Mott transition.

All soil samples were collected in continuous ginger field.
High-temperature superconductivity in monolayer Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ
Abstract Although copper oxide high-temperature superconductors constitute a complex and diverse material family, they all share a layered lattice structure. This curious fact prompts the question of whether high-temperature superconductivity can exist in an isolated monolayer of copper oxide, and if so, whether the two-dimensional superconductivity and various related phenomena differ from those of their three-dimensional counterparts.
One-Step Method to Fabricate Novel Three-Dimensional GaP Nanopore Arrays for Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Production
Gallium phosphide nanopore arrays with unique three-dimensional interior architectures (3D GaP NPs) are fabricated by electrochemical etching in the neutral solution.
Synchronous Exfoliation and Assembly of Graphene on 3D Ni(OH)2 for Supercapacitor
Nowadays, new approaches to fabricate high-performance electrode materials are of vital importance in renewable energy fields. Here, we present a facile synthesis procedure towards 3D Ni(OH)2/graphene hybrids for supercapacitors via synchronous electrochemical-assisted exfoliation and assembly of graphene on 3D Ni(OH)2 networks. With the assistance of electric field, the electochemically exfoliated high-quality graphene can be readily, uniformly assembled on the surfaces of 3D Ni(OH)2.
