Vaping and harm in young people: umbrella review
Methods This overview of reviews is reported in line with PRIOR (preferred reporting items for overviews of reviews: online supplemental file 2)10 and followed a prespecified protocol (PROSPERO CRD42024569728). The inclusion criteria were broad to provide an overall understanding of the health implications of vaping among young people (table 1).
Design-thinking trickling into elementary school classrooms
Stanford’s K12 Lab, located in the university’s d.school, is known worldwide for incorporating design thinking, a problem-solving process that involves five steps: empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. The process is now being taught at elementary schools. At Phillips Brooks Elementary School in Menlo Park, students arrange spaghetti, string and marshmallows to concoct freestanding towers, following the same design-thinking process as Stanford University undergraduates.
