Current bookmobile launches have included streamlined vans, buses, and tech labs. But last year a very different kind of bookmobile hit the road: a rebuilt 1925 Model T. Mike Flaherty, a retired National Geospatial Intelligence cartographer, is an antique car hobbyist and volunteer at the Davenport Public Library, IA. His bookmobile is a replica of the “Miss Lydia” book caravan, launched a century ago.
