This whole working-for-yourself thing is such a wild mix of emotions. Exciting, terrifying, uncertain, doubt-inducing, nerve-wracking — but also, somehow, exhilarating. Like you’re on a never-ending rollercoaster (But a slower one so you don’t get sick of it). The truth is, I grew up in a time — and a household — where working a traditional 9-to-5 was considered the default path. A sign of stability. Safety. Success. And for a long time, I followed that path. So did most of my peers.
