Lisa Grainger’s Biography

A Zimbabwe-born, London-living journalist - previously features director of Elle UK, acting deputy editor of Sunday Times Style, assistant editor on The Times Weekend and part-time current deputy editor of the Telegraph's Ultratravel magazine.
She has driven around America in a clapped-out Chev, canoed the Zambezi, joined adventurers finding the source of The Nile, done the Cresta Run twice - and spent three months hiking southern Africa collecting the ancient myths and legends of African tribes for her children's book, Stories Gogo Told Me, whose proceeds go to CAMFED, to send orphaned African girls to school.
Currently the deputy editor and travel editor of Times Luxx, contributor to Conde Nast Traveller, freelance travel writer for publications including The Times, Afar, Departures.
