Å etablere seg som forsker og kvalifisere seg til toppstillinger i akademia krever mer enn lange publikasjonslister. Man må også ta ansvar for utviklingen av et fagmiljø og bidra til andres kompetanseheving. Derfor er vi uenige med Maja Nordtug og Solveig Topstad Borgen når de skriver at publisering er meritterende for stillinger i akademia, mens fagfellevurdering ikke er det.
