Citizens Online runs weekly drop in sessions in Bala, Gwynedd, to offer residents personalised support with technology. Richard, our digital champion who runs these sessions, recently shared how privileged he feels to have had the opportunity to support local resident Mr Jones who is 84 years of age.

Joe attends weekly digital support sessions with Citizens Online at the Community Centre in Fron. Joe is 90 years old and lives alone in a small village outside of Caernarfon, Gwynedd. His laptop was old and had crashed and he was having trouble with his broadband at home. Our Digital Champion spoke to Joe about his needs and it was decided that a tablet would be easier to navigate. We therefore ordered a new tablet and a data SIM card for him.

Joe’s laptop had crashed, and he was having trouble with his network at home. After a conversation we decided that a new tablet would be best for Joe, so we ordered a new device and a data SIM card for him.
