L. Malik Anderson’s Biography

L. Malik Anderson (he/ they) is a vibrant storyteller, digital content creator, and arts and culture producer for WNYC’s All Of It hosted by Alison Stewart. He’s produced over 250 live radio conversations with actors, directors, novelists, visual artists, health providers, and others. They are a great listener, a team player, and a fierce advocate for mental health who finds adventure in learning new things.

Before relocating to New York City at the height of the pandemic, he lived in Wisconsin where he completed an Emma Bowen Foundation fellowship with Wisconsin Public Radio and freelanced for 365 Media Foundation, a nonprofit news outlet for communities of color. He’s interviewed filmmakers, fashion designers, food entrepreneurs, and business owners of color from his hometown, Milwaukee, WI to highlight their work. They strongly believe in using arts and media to empower marginalized communities while teaching younger people to do the same.

He enjoys the arts, music, and television/ film, especially projects centering Queer Black/ Latine experiences. Recently, he finished a social media campaign highlighting over 20 guests on WNYC’s All Of It who received nominations for an NAACP Image Award, culminating in a two-hour on-air preview of the awards show.
