Abstract Trial registration: ClinicalTrials.gov number: NCT01777152 Introduction Peripheral T-cell lymphomas (PTCLs) represent ~10–15% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas [1, 2]. Systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (sALCL), a PTCL subtype characterized by universal CD30 expression [3, 4], is therefore a candidate for CD30-targeted treatment. sALCL is sub-divided by the presence or absence of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) protein [5].
To the Editor: Follicular lymphoma (FL) and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) are the most common lymphomas, both exhibiting features of germinal center-derived B-cells (gcBCs). DLBCL can arise de novo or through transformation of a low-grade lymphoma like FL. FL and DLBCL are heterogeneous with regard to clinical outcome as well as morphologic, immunophenotypic, genetic, transcriptomic and other biological aspects [1].
