Lori Falce started her journalism career at 16 at The Progress in Clearfield PA. She has been on staff at The Progress, the Daily Courier, the Centre Daily Times and the Tribune-Review. She was deputy editor at the Centre Daily Times, as well as covering Penn State and major crimes. As community engagement editor at the Tribune-Review, she curates the opinion pages, leads the editorial board, and writes daily editorials as well as a weekly column. What was your first job as a journalist?

I started as a correspondent covering local government when I was 16.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

This feels like a personal attack. Of course I used a typewriter. I got my own as a high school graduation present.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is a growing competition for news media, a valuable tool to disseminate news and a resource to use and be skeptical of.
