Virginia isn’t loud about romance—and that’s exactly the point. Rather than manufactured “couples experiences,” romance here unfolds naturally through scenic drives, historic towns, slow dinners, waterfront walks, and places that encourage you to linger a little longer than planned. One of the oldest states in the U.S., Virginia carries centuries of history without feeling stuck in the past.

Just over a century ago Miami’s founder, Julia Tuttle (the only woman to found a US city), convinced her friend and railway tycoon Henry Flagler to extend his new Florida East Coast Railway to her still crude and undeveloped southern region. Once built, Flagler began promoting the destination as “The Magic City,” and although no one can prove that witchcraft was not involved the city sprung up seemingly overnight and the moniker stuck.

Beyond the neon lights and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip lies a state rich in natural beauty, history, and cultural treasures waiting to be explored. Nevada, the Silver State, offers a diverse landscape that ranges from arid deserts to lush forests and covers an area of approximately 110,577 square miles, making it the seventh largest state in the U.S. Despite its vast size, Nevada is one of the most sparsely populated states, with a population of around three million people.
