What was your first job as a journalist?
Covering a small town city hall
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes and still have the last one I used in a newspaper. Bought it when it went our of business.
How is social media changing news?
It dilutes and warps it
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To seek the closest approximation of truth possible
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Without hyperbole. If you say you are the first I bet I can find at least one company that was before you. Tell me what the product does.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Mac products and software, mostly. I avoid Microsoft as much as possible and occasionally use Google apps. Zoom is my go to for interviews
