Industrial-automation providers Comau and Omron Roboticshave signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the goal of accelerating adoption and deployment of advanced automation solutions for manufacturers worldwide. The collaboration will focus on high-growth sectors including electronics, semiconductors, medical manufacturing and light-industrial intralogistics—markets identified by the partners as having strong demand for flexible, easily deployable automation.

Trumpf introduced its new SortMaster Station and SortMaster Vision AI-powered robotic part-sorting technology to the North American market at a seminar this past April. The OEM demonstrated the automated 2D laser-cut-part separation and sorting technologies at its Smart Factory in Hoffman Estates, IL, offering attendees the opportunity to see the tandem technologies in action.
