PhotographyLuca WardTextViolet Conroy Lead Image Introducing AnOther Dish, a new series of recipes and interviews with chefs in London Last summer, people in east London kept talking in hushed tones about a brand new Korean restaurant I just had to try: Miga. The ox bone broth, supposedly, was to die for, and I should get down there before it became a ’spot’.

GCSE Art Advice?
I’m in year 11 trying to get an 8 in Art, but at the moment i’m getting 6s and 7s. Is there anybody that has gotten an 8/9 or A* that has any advice on how to really do well in art? Posted on the TSR App. Download from Apple or Google Play
How do you become a Neuroscientist?
I want to become a Neuroscientist ( in research, not treating patients), and i’m not sure what path I need to take. Do I need to do a medical degree or is that only for those doing neurology with the intention of actually working with patients, or is it different for research. I would ideally like to avoid doing medicine! Also, what A-Level subjects would be needed to do neuroscience - do i NEED chemistry or would biology preferred. Best GCSE Revision Techniques?
I’m currently in year 11 doing GCSEs in : english language, english literature, maths, further maths, biology, physics, religious studies, ICT, french, art and geography, and i’m aiming for at least 9 A* Grades. I was wondering what revision techniques people think are the best, because all I ever do is flashcards honestly. I want lots of opinions of what people find most effective, any input is appreciated ! Posted on the TSR App. Download from Apple or Google Play
Could I do Maths at Oxford?
I’m currently at GCSE (early i know) and since i’ve been making my a level choices i’ve really been thinking about degrees or careers i want to do in the future. I have a particular interest in maths and have always been good at it, and i’ve been considering doing it as a degree after A-Levels (At GCSE I’m predicted to get : 8 A*s and 3 As) At A-Level i’m intending on doing : Maths, Biology, Physics and English Literature - would the fact that i’m not doing Further Maths matter?
What A-Levels should I do??
I’m currently at GCSE and we’re choosing our a levels, but i don’t know what to do, there are so many subjects I would love to continue with but it’s difficult to decide on just 4.
Should I do A-Level Biology?
So, I’m currently at GCSE making my A-Level choices and i’ve been considering studying biology (alongside maths, physics and english literature), but i’m not sure if i should do it.
A-Level Physics? - The Student Room
I’m considering doing physics at A-Level and i was wondering if anyone who does/did physics could tell me how they found it? Like was it interesting, was it difficult, how much content was there, etc etc Posted on the TSR App. Download from Apple or Google Play
Need help choosing A-Levels!
For neuroscience, I’d definitely recommend doing biology and maths since you can’t do chemistry and I think you’ll need 2 science subjects so unless physics takes your fancy, maths would be a better option since you mentioned a possibility of going into a maths based career. I don’t think Further Maths is always required when doing a maths degree (but you might want to check that) and if it isn’t available to you then I’m sure the university will take that into consideration.
Does this sound like a good A-Level Combination?
(Original post by SummerStrawberry) Chemistry would complement Biology, Maths, and Physics well, but do YOU want to do it? If you're no great fan of Chemistry (look at the specification online or ask your teacher if you can flick through a textbook), don't take it - you'll need to put double the work in to do well. It's impossible to know what you want to do with your life at 15/16. Heck, it's nigh-on impossible to know what you want to do with your life at 40.
