What was your first job as a journalist?

I think I was for a local agency at age 17. They never paid me, but I learned a lot.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes sir! I still have an old remington 5.

How is social media changing news?

Creating new kinds of spaces, changing old and obsolete rules and facilitating communication/feedback between content creators and users.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Henry Hackett (Michael Keaton)

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means passion for the power of words, and at the same time, a responsability to inform, defend the truth and preserve our culture.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

In a clear and orderly manner.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Mainly WordPress, but I also use Microsoft Office, Liquid Story Binder, CeltX and others.

What's your favorite social network?

Facebook.

Who do you wish followed you?

Andrzej Sapkowski. He's my favourite author.

Why did you become a journalist?

I always wanted to be an author. I started writing when I was twelve, studied dramaturgy, screenwriting, journalism and production.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I founded my school's newspaper. I really hope it's still working.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

The one where I interviewed two former coworkers who were presenting their first game and their company.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Always double check sources. Never trust a curious eye witness who asks too many questions. Be polite and professional.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Fridays, Saturdays or Wednesdays. Between 14:00 and 18:00.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

I once sold a comic book project to Vertigo Comics. I can't remember having better luck after that one.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

The one when an editor entrusted me to Interview an old movie actress who was almost senile. She tought I was his dead son. I was heartbroken

What's your favorite drink?

I don't drink. I hate the smell of alcohol.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Riding a bike, reading a book or cooking.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

CNN News and National Geographic.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

Sometimes it's difficult to understand slangs and idioms.
