Part of that agenda involves reviewing areas of the UK tax system that can produce economic double taxation for UK residents with US-source income and structures.

The Alternatives.
With access to Legal Aid for family law restricted, what are the available alternatives? Data breaches seem to be everywhere at the moment, and it feels like no one is untouchable, including the Legal Aid Agency. The Legal aid Agency has been the victim of a huge cyber-attack, leaking personal and sensitive data, and bringing the entire system to a halt. The attack has led to an inquiry by MPs due to the damage it has caused to the legal system as a whole, as well as individual users.

Who gets the dog after a break up? There has been an increase in the number of custody cases regarding the family dog. Remittance basis of taxation
Non-domiciled (non-dom) individuals who are resident in the UK can elect to be taxed on the remittance basis of taxation, as opposed to the usual arising basis. Those claiming the remittance basis will be subject to UK tax only on UK sourced income and gains, together with foreign income and gains which are remitted to the UK. If no claim for the remittance basis is made, taxation on the arising basis is the default position, subject to the two exceptions noted below.

Capital gains tax relief
Capital gains tax (CGT) is generally charged if you make a profit when you dispose of an asset. To ensure you don’t pay more CGT than you need to, we’ve summarised some of the ways you can reduce or eliminate any tax charge. The future is regenerative
Behind the idyllic image of the picturesque British country farm lies a difficult truth. Current industrial methods of farming are producing vast amounts of pollution, with the UK’s agriculture sector contributing 11% of our greenhouse gas emissions. If we’re to succeed in combatting the climate crisis, the future of farming must involve radical change.
Charlie Hunter & Lucy Woodward - New Jazzy Blues - June Euro Tour
Charlie Hunter is a master guitarist playing jazz and blues on his custom made 7 or 8-string guitars; he’ll be performing with his newest musical partner, vocalist Lucy Woodward, as a trio with Niek de Bruijn on drums, but with Hunter’s unique instrument in his hands, their sound is like a quartet’s. Originally based in San Francisco, Hunter has been active since the early 90s, and especially since his two 1995 releases on Blue Note Records.

We’ve got Augie Ray from Gartner on the pros and cons of the ‘effortless experience’ before we hear from Ted Rubin of Brand Innovators on keeping the customer-retailer love alive and Dom Nicastro with a piece on CMSWire.

Keeping up with changing tech - easy right? Wrong. It’s my first time writing this martech memo for you, but with so much out there it was easy to get going! And with even the World Cup (congratulations France!) making use of recent innovation in the field of digital marketing, it seemed only fitting to start with that.

I wake up at 9 with the sun shining through my window. I walk down the stairs, greeted by my three dogs. I go outside and sit on the porch steps to eat my breakfast. The spring wind blows lightly through the trees. He sprints to the ball, grabbing it in his mouth. We have a game of tug of war as he refuses to give me the ball.
