The contradiction of productivity under the logic of capital In this short essay, I develop na inference I briefly mentioned in my other text “Brazil for Sale: Foreign Capital and Cultural Colonization.” There, I touched on the idea that even literary production is subject to the capitalist logic of productivity — meaning that a text criticizing capitalism is itself made possible by the very system it seeks to critique.
