Abstract Recent lifestyle changes have reduced sunlight exposure, impacting circadian rhythms and sleep regulation. This study investigates how sunlight exposure at different times of the day affects sleep parameters. This cross-sectional study included 1,762 adults from the Iron Quadrilateral region, Brazil, and was conducted between October and December 2020.

This study is unique because it evaluates the association between the ratio variable, represented by MVPA/SB, and the CVR outcome variable. In addition, we investigated the combined association between the MVPA/SB ratio and sleep on CVR. Finally, we explored a hypothesis that postulates the mediating role of sleep in the association between the MVPA/SB ratio and CVR, thus providing a significant contribution to the epidemiological and public health literature.

This step was carried out to evaluate the structural components of the perception of social support based on the theoretical construct. It used questions from the ESSS [28] for assessing the reality of social restrictions, and also included questions regarding the university environment to evaluate the extent to which the elaborated items correlated with these components. Only the first question remained the same as the ESSS, while the others were changed.
