What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job as a journalist was writing for Architizer.

Yes

How is social media changing news?

Faster, quicker, all the time. Constantly moving and changing with chances for interaction.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Someone willing to look at the world around them and show it to others.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Two to three sentences with links, and the responsive to questions. It should be a dialogue to work up the best premise for a story.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, Wordpress, Tumblr, Twitter, Django CMS, Google Docs and Analytics, HTML, CSS and Javascript.

Why did you become a journalist?

I enjoy writing, learning about the world around me, and sharing that with others.

No I did not.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am most proud of the story I wrote about Haas and Hahn in N. Philadelphia

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Write as much as you can, as soon as you can. And read all the time.
