The 1961 Chicago Memorial Day parade was a meaningful part of the city’s annual tribute to fallen U.S. military personnel. Held downtown on the Saturday before Memorial Day, the event typically unfolded along State Street with both ceremonial and festive elements. Participants included veterans, active-duty troops, JROTC cadets, community groups, and marching bands, all contributing to the solemn yet spirited atmosphere.

Summary:  Damages testimony was excluded for failing to apportion the value of the patent portfolio to isolate the value of the asserted patent. Rex sued Intuitive alleging Intuitive’s surgical stapler infringed one of Rex’s patents: the ’650. A jury found the asserted claim in Rex’s patent was valid and infringed and awarded damages of $10 million.

The Golden Sahara II is a dazzling custom car born from a wrecked 1953 Lincoln Capri and reimagined by George Barris with funding from Jim Street. With its bubble canopy, gold accents, and pearlescent fish-scale paint, it looked straight out of a sci-fi dream. Packed with futuristic tech—remote controls, automatic braking, and even a cocktail bar—it also featured glowing Neothane tires from Goodyear.
