A high school head football coach in Round Rock is on administrative leave following his arrest. A Round Rock ISD spokesperson confirms Jonathan Cruz, 41, was arrested on Monday for an incident that happened before he was hired. Cruz was hired as the head football coach of McNeil High School in March. Online jail records show Arlington police had a warrant for his arrest in April, stemming from a case CPS reported in January 2024.

Travis County withholds some Tesla tax rebates due to incomplete documentation

Police investigating crime in East Austin shopping plaza parking lot

Police are investigating after an incident in a shopping plaza parking lot in East on Monday. Officers responded to a call for a shooting or a stabbing on Manor Road near U.S. 183. At least one person was hurt. Police have not said if anyone was arrested. No other information is available at this time.
