(Editors Note: This week for Throwback Thursday, we revisit an article from August 6th in 2009, when Luke Wasiak visited JFK’s Tower, providing us with a glimpse into a world very few get to see firsthand.) As long as I have lived under the approach paths of LaGuardia Airport in Queens, I have always looked up when an aircraft departing or on approach was caught by my sight or hearing. I remember always being excited when my father would drive me to JFK to pick up relatives or drop them off.
