Lurene Heyl

I am Lurene Heyl, a rising senior at Towson University majoring in journalism and new media. I am interested in broadening my horizons in the broadcast journalism industry. I have cultivated professional relationships within the journalism community via professors and professionals. I have have a background of hosting and emceeing prestigious events within the Filipino community. Also, I am a proud member of the student newspaper, The Towerlight, at Towson University, as a contributing writer. My job consists of interviewing people in a wide range of circumstances researching and writing stories of upcoming events within the school community, and taking photos of the scene. I've had the opportunity to shadow reporters at various news stations, which has further added to my experience in this field. I aspire one day to be a reporter and work in front of the camera.
