Europium ions doped WO3 film with bi-function of enhanced electrochromic switching and tunable red emission

We first doped europium (Eu) ions into WO3 with hydrothermal method. The effects of Eu ions on structure, morphology, electrochromic and photoluminescent performances of WO3 film have been systematically investigated. It is found that WO3 film doped with Eu ions exhibits a bi-function of electrochromic switching and red emission.
