Arizona Men's Basketball: Cal Poly Preview
Arizona didn't exactly get the 2026-27 season off on the right foot as the Wildcats look to return to the Final Four in back-to-back years for the first time in program history. The UA fell 84-75 to Mick Cronin and No. 22 UCLA on opening night in Las Vegas for its first season-opening defeat in 20 years. Tommy Lloyd and his squad now return home with a chance to regroup and reset against a team picked to finish in the middle of the pack in the Big West.

Arizona climbs to 22 in the AP Top 25 Poll after Iowa State win
(Photo: Mike Christy / Arizona Athletics) As they say, slow and steady wins the race. For the Wildcats, that's exactly the approach they are taking, at least in terms of their ascension in the Associated Press (AP) Top 25 Poll. After a 39-3 rout of Iowa State in Tucson on Saturday, Arizona has jumped three spots to No. 22 in the latest AP rankings.

Top 3 things to know from Day 1 of 2022 Bills training camp
3 – Plays of the day There was a heavy focus on the red zone on day one of training camp. All the team segments took place in that area of the field. It gave both sides of the ball the opportunity to jump into executing plays in tight space. "Red zone is typically a pretty tough day for the offense," said Allen. "It's just a smaller area but coming out here and just trying to go out and execute make the right decisions. And guys are flying around right now were pretty juiced up.
'I want to be here' | Jordan Poyer focusing on football
Knowing the type of committed player that Jordan Poyer is, it wasn't a surprise to see the All-Pro safety on the practice field for the first day of training camp. Though he is seeking a new and improved contract after one of his most productive seasons in a Bills uniform, he has put the task of landing a new contract with the Bills squarely on his agent, who was also at St. John Fisher University on Sunday. "My agent is here," said Poyer of his representative, Drew Rosenhaus.

3 ways in which the Bills offense could be different in 2022 | Camp Countdown 2022
1. Shorter completions The Bills' passing attack has been a top 10 unit for each of the past two seasons. Yes, Josh Allen can deliver the ball to any part of the field with his arm, but the changes to his receiving corps could prompt a change in the way in which they roll up yards in the passing game. Buffalo still has two very high-end receivers outside in Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis, who is expected to step into a starting role (more on that below).
Bills former WR Marlin Briscoe passes at 76
Best known as the first black quarterback in professional football when he played for the Denver Broncos in 1968, Marlin Briscoe, a former Bills wide receiver passed away Monday. A 14th-round pick of the Broncos out of Nebraska-Omaha in 1968, Denver had planned to convert him to cornerback. But Briscoe insisted on competing to play quarterback, and when starter Steve Tensi got hurt and his backup was inconsistent, Briscoe got his chance.
Bills former athletic trainer Ed Abramoski has passed away
One of the longest-tenured employees in Bills franchise history passed away Friday. Ed Abramoski, a Bills athletic trainer for 37 years, dutifully served Bills players for almost the first four decades of the club's existence. An Erie, Pennsylvania native, Abramoski grew up with four sisters and played football and earned a scholarship to play at Purdue University, but a back injury ended his playing career after his sophomore season.
6 superlatives from the 2022 Bills offseason
5. Most encouraging player forecast – Gabriel Davis, Ed Oliver Over his first two seasons in the league, wide receiver Gabriel Davis, as the team's fourth receiver, has 13 touchdown catches on just 70 receptions. Davis was in the end zone once for every 5.38 receptions. That scoring frequency only went up in the postseason with a touchdown every 2.8 receptions.
Bills Today | Bleacher Report picks this Bills defender as the team's 'X'-factor for 2022
After working hard through the course of his first NFL offseason, second-year pass rusher Greg Rousseau is looking to make a bigger and more consistent impact for Buffalo defense this fall. He's added more lean muscle mass to his frame and he's also learning at the elbow of veteran pass rusher and teammate Von Miller. Perhaps that's why Bleacher Report in their listing of 'X'-factor players for each of the NFL's 32 teams chose Rousseau for the Bills. Here was their assessment.

Top 3 things we learned from GM Brandon Beane about the 2022 Bills personnel department
1. Gaine's wide-ranging background a key factor In promoting Senior Personnel Advisor, Brian Gaine to the Assistant GM position left vacant by the departure of Joe Schoen, who was hired as GM of the New York Giants, Brandon Beane admitted that it was Gaine's very varied background on both the college and pro side of scouting that was most appealing. "The thing that I loved about Brian was we're adding a guy that's not just strong on one side, he's strong on both," said Beane.
5 things we learned from Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey | OTAs
2. In lockstep with Josh There's a reason coach Dorsey got the full endorsement of Josh Allen when the team's offensive coordinator post came open. In the three years that Buffalo's quarterback and now former quarterbacks coach worked together, they discovered they see the game the same way in almost all respects. Dorsey is confident that only helps them going forward now with Dorsey as his play caller.
10 things to know about the Bills 2022 schedule
5 – Revenge week The team that ended each of Buffalo's last two playoff runs will host the Bills in Week 6 on Oct. 16th for a 4:25 pm kickoff. For the Bills this is the fifth meeting with the Chiefs since 2020 including the playoffs. Kansas City eliminated the Bills from the playoffs in the Divisional round in overtime last season when the two teams combined for 78 points and 974 total yards. They also bounced Buffalo from the playoffs in 2020 in the AFC Championship game.

At Rangers 10 miles at Salcey Author: Chris Brown Published: 7th May 2022 08:38 Just four riders turned up for the 10 mile TT at Salcey. But it was great to see the four that did as there were some old and some new faces. Chris Wilkes did a great time beating his own personal target and it has been a long while since he raced. Then Dave Rook did his first TT for probably 20 years and if it hadn’t been for the roadworks would have been under the 30 minute mark, for sure.

7 final observations on the Bills 2022 draft
6 – Trades aplenty Armed with eight picks going into the draft, Buffalo remained flexible with respect to moving up or down the board as needed. The Bills made a total of four trades over the three days of the draft. The dwindling number of players with first round grades on Thursday prompted Beane to move up two spots to secure Elam.
3 things to know about Bills 5th-round pick Khalil Shakir
1 – Productive wideout A two-time First Team All-Mountain West Conference receiver, Shakir led the Broncos in receiving each of his last two seasons. He was also a team captain. Shakir ranks fifth all-time at Boise State in receptions (208), fourth in receiving yards (2,878), and sixth in career 100-yard receiving games (10). Shakir averaged 121.5 all-purpose yards during his junior and senior seasons, which was tops in the Mountain West.
Bills jump into round one trade frenzy to land CB Kaiir Elam
When Bills GM Brandon Beane saw two of the first four picks in the draft were cornerbacks, he thought the Bills might be looking at another position by the time they were on the clock at 25. Fortunately for Buffalo, only one more cornerback came off the board when Kansas City moved up from pick 29 to pick 21 in a trade with New England to take Washington CB Trent McDuffie.
8 things to watch for the Bills in 2022 NFL draft
4 – Cornerback value in round one Many are wondering if the Bills will be able to address a perceived positional need at cornerback when they're on the clock at 25. Many draft analysts expect Cincinnati's Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner and LSU's Derek Stingley Jr. to both be off the board in the top half of round one. But what about prospects like Washington's Trent McDuffie, Clemson's Andrew Booth and Florida Kaiir Elam? Will the Bills get to consider any one of them as a good value at 25?
Bills sign G David Quessenberry to a one-year deal
A week prior to the 2022 NFL draft, the Bills added a veteran guard to their ranks signing free agent David Quessenberry on Thursday. Quessenberry, 31, was most recently a right tackle for the Tennessee Titans in 2021 as he started all 17 games. All 23 career starts for Quessenberry has come with the Titans organization after making six starts for the club in 2020. The veteran lineman reunites with former Tennessee linemate Rodger Saffold in Buffalo.
Ryan Bates signed a four-year contract with the Bills
The Buffalo Bills retained a piece of their starting offensive line from late last season. On Monday, GM Brandon Beane announced that the club would match the offer sheet signed by restricted free agent Ryan Bates with the Chicago Bears last week. "We kind of pondered that, worked through it," said GM Brandon Beane. "We were tight on the cap, but we decided to bring Ryan back. It's really important for us to be strong up front. Ryan's a versatile player. He can actually play all five spots.
Bills re-sign OL Ike Boettger
The Bills brought back a starter from Buffalo's 2021 offensive line on Monday as they re-signed G Ike Boettger to a one-year contract. Boettger was an unrestricted free agent after playing last season on his one-year restricted free agent tender. The 27-year-old made 10 starts last season at left guard before an Achilles injury suffered in Week 16 at New England prematurely ended his season. GM Brandon Beane provided an update on Boettger's health Monday.
What Bills fans need to know about the New Bills Stadium project
One Bills Live host and Buffalobills.com reporter Chris Brown sat down with PSE executive Ron Raccuia to discuss the New Bills Stadium project. Here's what we learned from the conversation. Q: You've secured a signed Memorandum of Understanding with New York State and received NFL approval for G-4 funding this week. What's the next step? Ron Raccuia: Those were two great accomplishments. And we're grateful for Gov.
Bills sign wide receiver Jamison Crowder
The Bills' passing game has been one of the most prolific in the NFL over the last two seasons. After parting ways with veteran receiver Cole Beasley late last week, Buffalo signed a younger option for the slot in Jets free agent Jamison Crowder. Crowder, 28, has been a very productive slot receiver for the majority of his seven-year career.
Bills sign free agent OL Greg Mancz
Buffalo continued their work along the line of scrimmage in free agency on Monday as they signed free agent C/G Greg Mancz. Mancz, 29, is a seven-year NFL veteran, who has appeared in 58 games in his career. He's lined up mainly at center and guard in his pro career after a decorated college career at the University of Toledo. Originally an undrafted free agent signing of the Houston Texans in 2015, Mancz rose through the ranks to become a full-time starter in 2016.
Bills sign defensive tackle Tim Settle
Entering the 2022 offseason the Bills had six defensive linemen on expiring contracts. On Thursday they began to address the vacancies by signing free agent DT Tim Settle to a two-year contract. The Washington Commanders free agent has been a productive rotational player in his first four seasons as he played behind a starting unit made up of first-round draft choices.
Bills' championship caliber roster was a draw for Rodger Saffold
Rodger Saffold has played in an AFC Championship game, an NFC Championship game and a Super Bowl. So, he knows what successful teams look like. That proved to be the biggest allure in signing a one-year contract with the Bills on Monday. "I think it's just because of how close I feel they are to a championship," Saffold said of coming to terms with Buffalo. "This is a real Super Bowl caliber team, as well as just a great situation for me to be with one of the coaches.
Bills agree to terms with Mitch Morse on two-year extension
The Bills ensured their starting center will continue playing in the pivot beyond this season. Buffalo came to terms on a two-year contract extension with Mitch Morse that puts him under contract through the 2024 season. The veteran offensive lineman was entering the final year of the four-year contract he signed with the club when the Bills convinced the Kansas City free agent to come to Buffalo with a top of the market offer for the center position in 2019.
