I was a reporter for the View section of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Oh yes...old enough to have had the pleasure.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use just about anything that can help me edit audio, video, or bang out a written story. Primarily Adobe Audition, Word, and Premier.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter for sure. It's toxic but it keeps you on the pulse of what's going on.
Why did you become a journalist?
I originally became a journalist in a search for the truth. Often people need the media to watch over our government.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was the opinion editor of the Daily Lancer in Carlsbad, CA.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Learn how to do it all: audio, video, writing, and always be professional.

There are so many...not one in particular but any that have nothing to do with what I cover!
What's your favorite drink?
Bourbon - neat.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Playing with my kids or playing guitar.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I read so many different types of publications but start each morning with the Wall Street Journal. It's then on to music publications.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I have several but if it's sports-related, I am in. I only cover the NFL in sports and music and fatherhood for other pubs.
