Lydia You’s Biography

I often describe myself as a computer scientist with a writer's soul. As a junior at Princeton University studying both Computer Science and Journalism, I am fundamentally both analytical and deeply creative. Previously, I've worked as a Fellow at Identity Review, a LA-based tech media outlet specializing in digital identity and data privacy, and a Business Reporting Intern for Barron's. I hope to pursue a career at the intersection of tech and journalism, an unorthodox combo that has led me to delve into the realms of VR journalism, data visualization, and using Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing to revolutionize digital media. Journalism allows me to learn about the world and tell stories about people and places in a tactile, immersive way. When I'm not writing or reporting, catch me obsessing over specialty coffee or reading up on American history, neuroscience, and English literature.
