Regulation of X. laevis M18BP1 centromeric localization and CENP-A assembly

Abstract Eukaryotic chromosome segregation requires attachment of chromosomes to microtubules through the kinetochore so that chromosomes can align and move in mitosis. Kinetochores assemble on the centromere which is epigenetically defined by the histone H3 variant CENtromere Protein A (CENP-A). During DNA replication CENP-A is equally divided between replicated chromatids and new CENP-A nucleosomes are re-assembled during the subsequent G1 phase.

Skintight Outrage improv show delivers weekly comedic relief

On Wednesday, Oct. 25, Skintight Outrage had their weekly improv show in Sturm Hall’s Lindsay Auditorium. The weekly comedy show runs from 8:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The main goal of these weekly shows is to allow students to take a break from their studies and have a good laugh. It is a free one-hour show, divided into sections, each containing different improv games and activities. What was particularly remarkable about their performance is how much the audience participates.
