An Overlooked Micro(Nano)plastic Climate Feedback in Frozen Regions
Frozen regions, including permafrost and seasonally frozen ground, cover approximately 20% of the global terrestrial land surface and represent one of the most climate sensitive components of the Earth system (Li et al. 2021). Climate warming is reshaping these regions by deepening active layers, shortening frozen periods, altering soil hydrology, and increasing the spatial and temporal variability of freeze–thaw (FT) cycles (Li et al. 2021).
Electro-promoted radical-radical cross-coupling reaction to synthesize sulfonamides
DMF is a cheap and versatile industrial reagent, which is not only used as a solvent, but also used as various synthons in organic synthesis [[1], [2], [3], [4], [5]]. The cracking of DMF usually requires dangerous initiators such as peroxides, conditions such as high temperature and/or high pressure, transition metal catalysis, strong acid or base [[1], [2], [3], [4], [5]].

A review on microfluidic nanomaterials: From synthesis to biomedical applications
Introduction Microfluidic devices are systems that use small amounts of fluids (10−9 to 10−18 L) which manipulate through channels ranging from tens to hundreds of micrometers [1].
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HEART RATE AND CARDIAC FUNCTION DURING HYPOXIA-ASPHYXIA IN NEWBORN PIGLETS
To view the full text, please login as a subscribed user or purchase a subscription. Click here to view the full text on ScienceDirect. FiguresApproximately 1 million neonates with asphyxia die worldwide annually. Many asphyxiated neonates have cardiac complications including arrhythmia and contractile dysfunction. Little information is available regarding the relationship between heart rate (HR) and diastolic function in asphyxiated neonates.

Systematic review with meta-analysis: thiopurines decrease the risk of colorectal neoplasia in patients with inflammatory bowel disease
We conducted a meta-analysis of 24 observational studies involving 76,999 participants to evaluate the risks of developing colorectal neoplasia in IBD patients receiving thiopurine treatment. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the risks of colorectal neoplasia were calculated using a random-effects model. The overall pooled estimate revealed a protective effect of thiopurine use on colorectal neoplasia in patients with IBD (OR = 0.63, 95% CI 0.46-0.86).
THE EFFECTS OF POST-RESUSCITATION ADMINISTRATION OF DOXYCYCLINE IN CARDIORENAL RECOVERY OF SURVIVING NEWBORN PIGLETS WITH SEVERE HYPOXIA-REOXYGENATION - Canadian Journal of Cardiology
To view the full text, please login as a subscribed user or purchase a subscription. Click here to view the full text on ScienceDirect. Asphyxiated neonates often have multi-organ failure with myocardial dysfunction and renal insufficiency. Previously we demonstrated that doxycycline (DOX) improved cardio-renal function after hypoxia-reoxygenation (HR) in an acute neonatal swine model.
