1 INTRODUCTION Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a health challenge that currently exists globally, with approximately 410,000 individuals contracting MDR-TB in the year 2022. In the past, addressing MDR-TB has been notably difficult due to prolonged treatment duration, poor completion rates, and a high incidence of drug toxicity (World Health Organization, 2022).
