IDF is a ten year old transformative non-profit enterprise focused on educating, informing and stimulating the global technology design community. The organization has created a powerful cloud based publishing model, blending free courses with an immersive web site for thought leaders, students, authors, academia, design professionals, futurists and even tech-challenged consumers.

Curated Content for the Professional Design Community

IDF provides anytime/anywhere “absolutely free” access to original courseware developed in collaboration with top tier Companies, Universities, Authors and Thought Leaders from Stanford, Harvard, Cambridge, MIT, Microsoft, IBM Research and SAP Labs, on par with courseware published by any major University in the world.

The value of the foundation’s content is further enhanced via joint publishing relationship with such noted authors as: Clayton Christensen, Don Norman, Stu Card, Alan Dix, Steve Mann, Eric von Hippel and Tom Erickson and others in ongoing contract negotiations.

Blended Non-Profit and Professional Membership Business Model

IDF also provides tiered Membership Services which are meant to serve larger Universities and Corporations (site licenses) and Professionals who want access to downloadable digital content, interaction online with other peers, access to topical webinars provided in conjunction with the company’s co-published authors and specialized content developed on a per licensing arrangement.

The Denmark based foundation has self-funded throughout its ten years in existence but is now sponsored by SAP Corporation and partly funded by professionals who become supporting Foundation Members, Corporate Sponsorships and Grants.
