Why did you become a journalist?

As a women and a minority, I wanted to lend my voice to film criticism and entertainment from a perspective that's usually ignored.

My favorite articles to write are those that intersect with entertainment and diversity in media.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Keep your chin up because this business is hard.
