Rockford man charged with illegal firearm sales in Ogle County

OGLE COUNTY, Ill. (WIFR) - A Rockford man faces multiple charges after an investigation into illegal gun sales in Ogle County. Angel Guerrero, 25, is charged with unlawful sale of a firearm, sale of an unserialized firearm and child endangerment. The sheriff’s office says its investigation began after it received a tip about a Rockford man allegedly selling guns illegally throughout Ogle County. Guerrero was arrested and taken to the Ogle County Jail.

One man hurt following overnight shooting in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Rockford Police are investigating an overnight shooting on the city’s North side. According to a post on ‘X’ around 12:30 a.m. May 20, Officers responded to a local hospital for a walk-in shooting victim in connection with an incident in the 3300 block of N. Main St. Police say an adult male suffered non-life threatening injuries. No additional details about the shooting, including a possible suspect or what led up to the incident have been released.
