3. Histopathology Awareness and screening for this phenomenon is critical to overall patient care since the discovery of a metastases may be the first sign of an occult tumor elsewhere in the body. However, identification of an intra-meningioma metastasis is potentially challenging since they may lack clear demarcation from the surrounding meningioma parenchyma, be only a small focus, and have histological features similar to the meningioma’s (Figure 1 and Figure 2).
