Catalytic activity of CoFe 2 O 4 @AC nanoparticles for ciprofloxacin degradation: process feasibility, mechanism and pathway
Abstract This study investigates the efficient removal of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin (CPFX) from aquatic environments using a synthesized magnetic nanocomposite, CoFe₂O₄@AC (cobalt ferrite supported on activated carbon), via a sono-Fenton-like process. Characterization via XRD, SEM, TEM, VSM, and BET confirmed that the catalyst possesses a mesoporous, spherical morphology, a high surface area )453.6 m²/g(, and strong ferromagnetic properties, facilitating easy recovery.
α‐Fe2O3@Ag and Fe3O4@Ag Core‐Shell Nanoparticles: Green Synthesis, Magnetic Properties and Cytotoxic Performance
Graphical Abstract A novel and eco-friendly method for preparing Fe3O4@Ag and α-Fe2O3@Ag core-shell with high magnetism and potent cytotoxic activity is detailed. The Fe3O4@Ag and α-Fe2O3@Ag core-shell NPs were produced using S. persica bark extract. AN MTT assay demonstrated the potent cytotoxic activity of the synthesized core-shell against breast cancer (MCF-7) and human umbilical vein endothelial (HUVEC) cells.
A mini-review on the emerging role of nanotechnology in revolutionizing orthopedic surgery: challenges and the road ahead
