At high altitudes, climbers and their guides must drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration, leading to a large amount of urine. According to research published on Aug. 29 in Regional Environmental Change, an international scientific journal headquartered in Germany, most of this urine is discharged directly onto the glaciers around Everest base camp. Researchers calculated that the heat from 6,000 liters of urine per day alone could melt about 154 tons of ice over a 50-day climbing season.

The coroner concluded that the procedure, which involved injections of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, was linked to the pulmonary embolism that caused Igho "Tiny" Ubiribo's death, New York Post reported. Ubiribo, 43, who had more than 185,000 followers on Instagram, was vacationing in Bangkok with his wife, Daniella Simba Allen, when he visited a clinic in Bangkok for injections intended to enlarge his genitals on March 5, Bangkok Post reported.
