Hours after this encounter I realize it was a miracle. We looked at each other. I ask “Are you visiting someone here?” I live in senior housing. He didn’t look like a senior to me. “No,” he answered, “I just moved my mother in.” He answered with an apartment number. He says his name and reaches out to shake my hand. I look down at his outstretched arm. The hand in space.

He’d Changed his First and Last Names. I Forgot Them. I didn’t forget him. So today I was doing my best efforts to create a little square video with music and a message. Did that part, but couldn’t discern how to post to my social media. Somehow what popped up on my screen (I seriously don’t know how these pop-ups occur)…and there was the name of a mutual friend of ours who’d not been on my radar for a decade. I look at our mutual FB Friends….and there is a photo of him. Different Name.

The Miracle of the Times We’re Living In… X says “Funny you should mention him. I just looked him up on You Tube yesterday because it was my friend Elisa’s birthday and I remembered that Clint Eastwood sang a song titled “I Still See Elisa” in the movie called Paint Your Wagon. X said she thought it was “funny”. I say that it was not “funny” nor a “coincidence” to me. One more example of how everything is related to everything else. I experience that our lives exist within a mobius strip of time.
