Majid Alam’s Biography

Majid Alam is a multimedia journalist, currently serving as Chief Content Producer at Hindustan Times, a leading news daily based in New Delhi, India. His role involves covering national and international news while ensuring seamless coverage and high-quality content. With over five years of experience as a journalist, he has previously worked with News18 and ABP LIVE, where he served as shift head of the English digital news team.

He has written on politics, governance, South Asia, health, and minorities. His articles have appeared on national and international platforms such as Vice News, TRT World, IndiaTimes, The Quint, Dialogue Earth, Outlook Magazine, The Diplomat, and The Wire.

He was awarded the Erasmus+ scholarship to study International Affairs at Sciences Po in 2020. He is a graduate in journalism from the AJK Mass Communication and Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia. He also represents India as a national representative at the OCEANS Network, an alumni network of Erasmus international mobility awardees funded by the European Union.
