Reliability and validity of the Persian version of the arm function in multiple sclerosis questionnaire-short form (AMSQ-SF) for assessing upper limb function in multiple Sclerosis patients
Abstract Purpose Upper extremity function is crucial for daily living activities. This study aimed to validate the Persian version of the 10-item Arm Function in Multiple Sclerosis Questionnaire-Short Form (AMSQ-SF) in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS).
Sensorimotor rhythm and muscle activity in patients with stroke using mobile serious games to assist upper extremity rehabilitation
1. Introduction Stroke is the leading cause of disability in adults (1), and patients with stroke often suffer from mild upper limb (UL) hemiplegia (2). Notably, few individuals achieve full recovery of the UL at 6 months after stroke (3). Rehabilitation for somatosensory impairment focuses on restoring the affected neuromuscular functions and achieving independent body control (4).
Neurofeedback therapy to improve cognitive function in patients with chronic post-stroke attention deficits: a within-subjects comparison
1. Introduction Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide, responsible for approximately 11% of all deaths (WHO, 2020). In people who survive a stroke, not only motor disability is a common consequence but also cognitive deficits (Pollock et al., 2014). Post-stroke attention deficits appear frequently (Hochstenbach et al., 1998). At the same time, it remains uncertain whether cognitive rehabilitation approaches improve attention deficits in the long term (Loetscher et al., 2019).
