Malcolm Collins’s Biography

First I was a nerdy kid who met most of his friends online
Then I went to college for Neuroscience at St Andrews in Scotland
Then I worked in human evolution at the Smithsonian
Then I became a researcher in schizophrenia and bipolar at UT Southwestern
Then I worked at Neurosky creating electronic devices you can control with your thoughts
Now I am at Stanford Business School

From being a nerdy kid until today the online community has been at the core of my personal and social life. Now I am working to empower online culture.
Hanging out online is my job, and I am out to make the often nerdy and under-appreciated actions of the online community a big deal to the world at large.
